Google es grande, muy grande. Son los genios de Internet, los que han sido capaces de revolucionarlo todo y de los que tras el salto os dejo una extensa recopilación de los mejores diseños que han hecho para su página principal, que como bien sabréis cambia con según que eventos.

De paso aprenderemos un poquito más, que nunca está mal:

El nombre Google es un juego de palabras entre el número gúgol (googol)13 (término improvisado por el sobrino de nueve años de Edward Kasner, Milton Sirotta, en 1938, que representa el 10 elevado a la 100) y las gafas (goggles).

Hay también un motor de búsquedas para imágenes, grupos de noticias y directorio. La técnica que permite ubicar una página en una buena posición de un buscador es el posicionamiento Web(conocido también como PageRank) patentado por Google.

Además de los sitios locales de cada país existe la Página Principal Personalizada de Google en la que además del clásico buscador, se puede agregar enlaces, noticias temáticas, y un vistazo a la bandeja de entrada del correo de Google, Gmail.
