160 hours to create this 600 megapixel view of the Manhattan skyline

Google allows us through its camera app to take a series of photographs that rotate around a point. That type of images are called «Sphere Photos» and they are capable of bringing together in a single all the wide vision that we can have of the horizon. Surely at some point you will have seen someone stand out in a social network shared by a friend or family member.

It is now the photographer Dan Piech who has taken his time to present us with a photograph, which he has called "A New York City Dream", by 602 megapixels and it has been composed from 189 photographs individual parts of the Manhattan skyline. In total, it has taken 160 hours for this photographer to recreate the vision of New York City in a fascinating way.

His main objective, as he says, was recreate the vibrant energy that emerges from a city like New York in a photograph that has reached such a large number of megapixels. Therefore, it is transformed into an ultra-resolution image of one of the most emblematic cities on this planet.

Ha it took a year to get the color graduation needed to put into a single image what one might feel if one looked around with a broad vision of such an urban environment. An image very rich in detail, thanks to its great weight in megapixels, and in which the iconic Empire State Building can be found.

Has used a total of 9,563 megapixels of data for the final 602 megapixel photograph. This photograph called "A New York City Dream" can be enlarged to dozens of square meters to maintain its high resolution. HDR and other techniques have been used so that these photographs have been printed on a larger scale with great precision.
