InDesign is one of the most used applications in the edition and production of editorial formats (from magazines to books, covers ...), although at the market level there are other tools aimed at the same objective (for example, Microsoft Publisher or Scribus which is an application of open source or free), today we will focus on the Adobe application.
Would you like to get into the world of layout?
Why Adobe InDesign?
I personally am a fan of all Adobe products, probably because my first leap into the world of design was with Adobe Photoshop and that made me lean towards the alternatives offered by this label. This is probably because its interface is intuitive, manageable and allows us to obtain a very high degree of customization in our work.
InDesign probably has a best feature set in relation to other software (including Quark Express, its eternal rival). For example, it gives us more control over page breaks, spacing, and objects. It offers options to create and layout digital formats and has support for audio and video. Definitely, it's milk.
Selection of free courses
Still, I invite you to experiment with different applications, layout can become a fascinating art that can really contribute a lot to us as image professionals. If you are making your first forays into this small world, you need to receive some basic lessons. There are really good courses in design schools, academies and other teaching centers that can give us a very good foundation. But I am aware that many of you, either due to time, financial or other reasons, cannot afford this type of course. This is not a drama either, there are many ways to learn and acquire knowledge thanks to the Internet. Today I bring you three basic and introductory courses to the application. With them you will know the work environment and the necessary functions to begin to develop in the application and completely free of charge.
