4 most used fonts

Many times it is not given the importance it deserves, but the choosing the font when carrying out a project is one of the most important aspects.

From my point of view, I think it is an important piece that greatly affects the design, for example, it will give it a more elegant, more dynamic, more fun character, etc.

That is why I have thought about making a small list of four fonts widely used by designers and that, in addition, I also usually use, I hope it will help you.

  • HELVETIVE: In my first year of study, one of the best teachers I had and a great designer told me: "When in doubt, Helvetica" And since then I don't doubt it. It was created in 1957 by Max Miedinger and Edouard Hoffmann. It is one of the most used fonts in the world of design.
  • FUTURE: It is a typeface based on geometric shapes such as squares, circles and triangles. It was designed a few years before Helvetica, in 1925 by Paul renner. We can find it in various types, fine, semi-black, super black, etc.
  • MYRIAD: The typeface that I find every day when I open my Illustrator by default. It was designed by Robert Slimbach and Carol Twombly for Adobe Systems in the 90s. Since it was designed, multiple reissues of it have been made, as we can now find its Myriad Web version, optimized for viewing on screens.
  • BRING: Typography designed in 1989 by Carol twombly, co-designer of Myriad. This typeface is inspired by the inscriptions on the base of Trajan's columns, from which its name also comes. It is a font that I consider has personality and character. Typographies

The truth is that we currently have a wide variety of fonts to use, although I have to admit that when I like a font I usually use it quite a bit. And you, what typeface do you use by default?
