Today we'll see how to make an effect what simulates raindrops on any surface you can imagine.
The raindrops can be as real as they are invented in some advertising images, or others. Today we will explain how to invent them, and how to make them look as real as possible.
First we make a selection in circular shape.
Depending on the perspective we accommodate the selection removing the excess with polygonal selection. Then we fill the selection on a new layer.
What follows to do this layer is double click and in the pop-up window we select the option Bevel and Emboss.
We leave you a screen with the characteristics that we have chosen, so that you have a guideline to follow, in case you are disoriented in how much depth, brightness or shadow to put to effect.
Already having the Bevel and Emboss molded in, the following is remove color fill to the layer, leaving it transparent but with the effect visible, you will see under the option "opacity" this option that is with the name "Fill".
Once we can see the drop of water with its transparency, we will see that it may be necessary to make adjustments, in this case we use the eraser and we are removing bits of drop until it convinces us. Some of you will see the need to remove more, others to leave it as it is. This also depends on the type of image we use for the background, and your perspective.
When we have the drop ready, we can make a reflection of it. For this we take the drop, duplicate it and add another layer; this last layer will help us "Flatten the image" and that the effect of the layer that we duplicate is no longer an effect, but part of the image. This serves so that when we rotate the image, the characteristics that we have previously put to the drop are not kept. Then with CTRL + E, we couple the same, having the duplicated layer and the new layer selected at the moment of pressing those commands.
Finally only we duplicate (ctrl + J) the drop and its reflection and we are shrinking or enlarging it and moving it around, so instead of one, we will have many drops in the whole image.
