We are interested in artistic proposals of all colors, lights and shapes without disgust anything that wants to express a meaning, an emotion or a thought. All kinds of them usually pass through here and take us to the strangest sources of inspiration such as the paintings of actor James Franco but also how hallucinogenic it can be a desert transformed into a surreal fairy tale.
Because this is what Bruce Munro achieves with his artistic project in which uses 50.000 lights to transform an entire panorama that opens before us. That arid desert on a cold night collapses to erect this artistic piece that as a whole can make us completely in a dream of those from which one does not want to escape through awakening.
And Munro not only transforms deserts, but he goes to valleys and wastelands to bring his magic lights that tell magical stories in which imagination is the best tool to fly over their moors created with great originality and work.
Bruce Munro is a British artist acclaimed by international critics and which is known for its vast light installations. For his latest project, which is part of a series called "Campo de luz" or "Field of Light", the artist has chosen Australia to be the canvas for his next light projection. 50.000 bulbs crowned with glass spheres cover an area equivalent to four football fields.
The work of this artist is inspired by his interest in the experience that is the shared human, and the idea came from his trip to the Red Desert at Uluru in 1992. During his trip he felt an attraction and a special connection with the desert landscapes, so "Field of Light" is a way of remembering those energies obtained.
