It has been this series that has become part of the heritage and culture of Northern Ireland, so to celebrate it, they have created an extensive wall tapestry that shows the events, locations and history of the most popular television series of all the times.
Based on the rich heritage of Northern Ireland when it comes to textile and linen manufacturing, Game of Thrones upholstery has been created with the flax supplied by one of the last flax mills survivor to the current era in that country.
Before starting the tapestry manufacturing, every scene and key character from the tv series has been recreated and designed by artists and illustrators. In total there have been about 77 hours of work transformed into 77 meters of drawings and stories told.
Once the hand illustrations have been composed, the designers have recreated the drawings digitally to map the fabric guide, sewn by expert stitchers. Once woven, the embroiderers meticulously touched up every fine detail from King Joffrey's golden crown to Daenery's immaculate hair.
The Game of Thrones tapestry can be seen in the Ulster Museum in Belfast. A new section was added last year as each of the episodes of the seventh season of Game of Thrones were broadcast.
