I need a graphics tablet. Which one to buy?

intuos

We getting closer and closer to Christmas and therefore, the gifts arrive and we are hoping that one of our family members or partner will give us a good gift, and this, being a graphic designer, what better than a good graphic tablet?

If we are looking for a company that really launches the best products, a name quickly comes out of our mouth and it is none other than Wacom. Is so the best graphics tablets are created by this company, but now, after knowing which brand we want, we have to look through the different models to finally choose one, and this will depend on our needs, since the difference between a Cintiq and a bamboo are huge.

Wacom Bamboo

Bamboo pen & touch

Una cheap graphics tablet and that although it does not have all the details Of the older versions of Wacom it does have all the same functionality that you will need to make the best sketches in PhotoShop with it. Let's say that the features of the Bamboo series are almost identical to the superior ones until Cintiq is reached with the screen integrated into the same tablet. Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch you have it for € 84 and a lower version for just over € 50.

Wacom Intuos

intuos

With the Intuos we go to another level, although right now they are replacing the Bamboo. An example of this is the Wacom Intuos Pen that you have available for € 65 and that is a good example of a cheap tablet and that will give you an incredible result. If we go to Intuos Pro we are already talking about another level of graphics tablet with a considerable rise in price for € 349 for the medium-sized one, yes, the small one for € 224.

Cintiq Companion

Cintiq companion

Cintiq are already major words and for the Companion we will have to shell out over € 1400 for a graphics tablet with an integrated display In it, Intel core i7 processor, 256/512 GB SSD hard drive and a 13,3-inch screen with Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. With this tablet we really see what Wacom means to the world of graphics tablets.

This article seems terrible to me. Not only because it seems that the person who wrote the article has no idea but because it also seems that Wacom has paid for this article.

Manuel Ramírez. Please. Next time learn better and don't misinform so much. Thank you.

Good @Manuel, thanks for the criticism. But the article does not want to go beyond showing that it is not necessary to spend a lot of money to have a graphics tablet that meets the basics and that if you want to go to another level you have to go to the Cintiq. I comment on the Intuos but going over it like the other two.
This opinion is based on my own experience as well as those of a few other graphic designers who work with Wacom on a daily basis. regards

Hello Manuel, the article is good because of the vision you give it to level up in the use of creative means. The prices if you focus on dollars would be better for the target audience as mine wrote you from Peru here we see things in dollars XD.
I just looked for a tablet for my daughter and your article corroborates my vision, I am a visual artist (plastic artist + graphic designer) and skills are developed with the use of media, they do not come in the box with the product, and «practice makes to the master »there is no product that does your job with a click. As an artist, I even learned to draw with my left hand - I am right-handed - and how to use vector programs and digital retouching, which is best done with a fixed gaze on the screen, as a typist without looking at what you type, using keyboard and shortcuts.
He believed that a Cintiq can be, then, not the solution to a problem but an alternative - good - the human adapts to everything, otherwise history would not have been written.
    Thanks Manuel.

@Pedro thanks to you! The intention of the article was that nothing else. Perhaps the title is not appropriate, but it is to differentiate between what is a cheap tablet, which, knowing how to draw as it happens to me, you can take advantage of it, and if you already want to take a step in higher quality, go for the great price ciniq.

      Regards!
