El iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld recently unveiled a new creation, and it has nothing to do with clothing. It has collaborated with the Faber-Castell brand, one of the world's oldest pencil manufacturers, to organize a limited edition of colored pencils.
It has been called the Karlbox, and it is an extensive collection that is characterized by more than 350 tools for drawing and painting. Quite a great occasion to have a haute couture designer with that special box that will surely not come at a low price, quite the opposite.
Karlbox was built to look like the chinese traditional wedding boxes, and each one is numbered to mark its exclusivity, since only 2.500 units have been produced so that they can be purchased. The wooden box holds 120 lberch Durer watercolor pencils, 60 Pirt Artist pencils, 12 Castell 9000 graphite pencils and much more.
The range of colors was personally selected by Lagerfeld and represents his life journey and love for art just like your own aesthetic taste. He himself explains it: «for me, drawing is like breathing and writing. They are the things that make me relax.
Karlbox is available in Faber-Castell stores, Karl Lagerfeld boutiques and Harrods in London.
