The winning photos of the National Geographic Traveler 2016 have been officially announced. An award that seeks to capture the incredible diversity of the cultures, places and people of our planet, recognizes the photography of that person who travels and is able to capture some vibrant moment in the past two years. Entries can be found in one of the following three categories: nature, people, and cities.

Of these three categories are distinguished first, second and third prize. This year the most distinguished title went to Hong Kong's Anthony Lau with his fascinating photograph entitled "Winter Hoseman", taken in Inner Mongolia during a morning walk. Selected from thousands of photographs of great beauty, Lau's image is able to express that electric moment that takes place when a Mongolian rider and his horses gallop in the race.

The first prize for nature is a photograph that capture a couple of foxes starting his mischief through a frozen landscape. The other first prize for cities is in Ben Youssef, a space on the outskirts of Marrakesh where silence and relaxed times take center stage.

The second prizes refer to that instant special in which nature can be very aggressive, but in which they are extraordinary moments. Regarding people, when the sun was rising in the morning, the photographer had the opportunity to capture that moment on the roof where a whole family was sleeping. For the second prize of the cities, a photo taken in GuangZhou, China.

The third prize for nature goes to Atacama Desert, in of people for a tribe of older women in a remote village in Himachal Pradesh, and the cities are finished, with the impact of lightning on the Komtar tower, the most iconic place in George Town, capital of the state of Pengan in Malaysia.
