The fashion brand Zara known around the world and what it is one of the most renowned Spanish companies is facing criticism for copying the designs of Tuesday Bassen, a Los Angeles-based freelance artist.
Bassen is an illustrator and designer who has published a comparison of each of the their pin designs with which Zara has supposedly copied. The artist's anger is enormous, since it seems that Zara has denied that this is the case, as indicated by Basen from his Twitter on Tuesday night.
We are talking about an independent artist but who has worked for big brands like PlayBoy, the New Yorker, United Nations, Nike, Adidas and many others, so it has its reputation in the world of design as it claims from its website.

The way she found her designs to be very similar to Zara's pins was thanks to her fans as she features more than 100.000 followers On Instagram. When checking the imitation of his designs, he got down to business to try to communicate with the textile company. He contacted Zara through a lawyer to find out about the alleged copies. According to Bassen, the response he received is that his designs were not distinctive enough to be associated with his own.
It is not only Bassen who encounters this problem, but other artists like Adam J Jurtz, also compiled an image of the work of 12 independent artists that has identical copies of their designs that can be viewed on the Zara website. Other brands are also criticized for stealing designs such as Urban Outfitters and Forever 21, which have been accused of this on more than one occasion.
