Adobe raises Creative Cloud prices in the UK due to Brexit

Creative Cloud

These abrupt changes from one day to the next seem to be having an effect on the economy of different types of professionals. And if you are one who is located in the UK, you should keep an eye out for the rise that Adobe will exert in that suite of design programs so familiar to all.

A price increase is on the way for the Creative Cloud customers in Sweden and the UK for next month, with Adobe blaming recent changes in exchange rates in Europe.

Adobe is not the first of the US technology companies to be starting to load more. Apple, Microsoft and Tesla have all raised their costs following the Brexit vote that triggered a drop in the value of the British pound.

Starting on March 6 of this year, the price increase will affect products such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustratos, and InDesign. There are no exact figures yet, although it is beginning to speculate between an 11 and 60% increase. Quite a considerable figure for the monthly prices of these products.

A page on the Adobe website explains that fluctuations in price are only made when necessary. «Our ability to align with the fluctuations in exchange rates allow us to continue to innovate and provide great value through our products and services«Says the official line of Adobe Corporate Communications. «We will continue to offer our world-class products and services at a compelling value to all of our members.«.

So those who are in the UK are going to have to shell out a little more to continue using those premium products so important for creative work and all those services that they offer so well for a monthly amount. It only remains to know what the increased amount will be.

A Creative Cloud that has received news in the past weeks.
