The Edeka company is a German supermarket chain that this year has become world famous for its Christmas advertising campaign. And it is that a few days after its publication on the network it became a viral phenomenon. In just 10 days, the video accumulated more than 10 million views and it became a mass phenomenon at the international level rarely seen in this type of campaign.

The video tells the story of a grandfather who appears home alone celebrating Christmas while watching from the window how his neighbors welcome family and friends. Melancholy and loneliness lead him to make a desperate decision: to send the obituary of his death to all his children and grandchildren. Little by little they discover the news from different parts of the world and meet to watch over the man's body. However, upon reaching the home they discover that their grandfather was still alive and was waiting for them at home for Christmas. To close the short film in a round shape a shocking phrase «Do I have to do this to see you all together?»

Without a doubt a shocking and powerful message that will steal the hearts of anyone who sees the ad. As a result of this proposal, the company has decided to organize a campaign to combat the abandonment of the elderly through social networks with the hstag #heimkommen which means something like "going home" encouraging its followers to share images of your family during the celebration of these holidays.
