A Disney animator reveals how Frozen would have been in 2D and classic animation

Frozen

These years ago we have passed before the final transition from classic animation to 3D. When at the beginning of this century there were still serious discussions about the transition to the new incipient technology, many were still rooted in that more traditional form of animation in which Disney has always been the prime example.

Now, immersed in 3D and those fantastic movies that arrive from Disney or Dreamworks, a Disney animator has revealed how Frozen would have been in 2D and classic animation. Through a series of illustrations, which we share below, we can find the great beauty of each one of them and imagine a little how the film would have been if it had gone through the more traditional treatment.

Un nostalgic point the one that we still have to remember Snow White, Dumbo or Pinocchio among many others in which each second of the tape was made up of 12 drawings to form an animation that must be precise enough to tell those stories and adventures that made up each of Disney characters.

The artist in charge of those images, Cory Loftys, and that currently working at Walt Disney Animation Studios he is an excellent professional to be able to transfer those characters beautifully to 3D. He has also worked on Zootopia, which we recently learned about how well he has done at the box office, and which again shows his excellence in the visual.

Frozen

A classic animation in which we have seen high-quality animators like Chuck Jones at Warner and who was in charge of bringing us the funniest and most crazy characters on the small screen. A form of artistic expression that, although relegated to the background by 3D, will continue to be present due to how handmade it continues to be if we compare it with all that technology.
