Graphic Designer of great importance born in Switzerland in 1920 who belonged to the movement called "Swiss style" and to the Basel School. He wrote important and recognized design manuals.
Known primarily for its posters characteristics in which the lack of color predominates and the use mainly of typography as a base element, creating self-explanatory but easily recognizable posters that went against what he himself called "the trivialization of color."
In 1965, he wrote the important Graphic Design Manual, a book that has become almost a must-read for designers around the world.
El swiss style To which this great designer belonged had great success and influence during the 1970s, although it was created in the previous two decades. It consisted in that simplicity and sans serif typeface prevail, in turn the colors had to be limited, and the design space had to be ordered by means of a grid, taking special care of the spaces that remain between the letters.
Of this great designer of the XNUMXth century are phrases as well known as "Critical thinking is the result of a critical look" and "there should be no separation between spontaneous work with an emotional touch and work directed by the intellect."

What good information, and what a good compilation I did not know about this designer and his contribution to design, very good
I know and admire him so much that I wanted to give him the nice name of Armin, but the Franco Civil Registry prevented me.
