Canada has Star Trek coins that can be used as regular money

Star Trek Coins

The trekkies, those fans of the series, film and everything that has to do with Star Trek, would be delighted if they were able to use this Canadian currency. At a time when services are going digital, even paying with paper and coins already seems somewhat old-fashioned or a practice of the past. This is most noticeable in the United States and Canada, where services like Amazon are already basic in people's lives.

Anyway, Canadian Mint is now making some coins that you could use and that they have been manufactured for a complete line of collectible Star Trek coins to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the franchise. An important appointment for trekkies who want to have a coin in their hand that could perfectly belong to any of their films.

The edition is limited and completely legal. It will be launched in the coming months with coins that will vary in value. The most expensive of the collection is the one with the Starfleet form which mimics the insignia worn by all the crew of the famous USS Enterprise. It is made of 99,99% pure gold and has a value of 200 dollars, but that comes to 1.300 Canadian dollars.

Star Trek Coins

For those who don't want to spend so much, Canadian Mint offers some low price options that have a value from 25 cents to 20 dollars. This line features full-color renderings of the USS Enterprise, memorable scenes from the original episodes, while four coins are dedicated to some of the series' favorite characters such as Captain Kirk, Scotty, Spock, and Uhura.

All currencies can be purchased under reservation through Canadian Mint Shop. An unmissable appointment for trekkies.
