Luigi Tarini is an Italian artist living in Krakow. After going viral for his series "Obama and Merkel as protagonists of movies" and "Horror Icons in Lighthearted Movies", this time Luigi surprises us again in the imagination with this star inspired mashup series Hollywood classic and famous paintings.
The idea is very simple, since it says in one piece two faces together and merges them to be one. This series began, as the artist puts it, when he put the face of Clint Eastwood together in Van Gogh's self-portrait. Since he was not happy enough with the result, he created a mashup with both sides.
He kept Clint Eastwood's unmistakable eyes with his characteristic Van Gogh nose and his recognizable artistic style. The result is worthy of admiration as you can see in the header image where we find that fusion so curious and surprising at the same time. It seems as if the two are perfectly combined in a very remarkable piece.
