If we are used to doing repetitive tasks that we do every day in Photoshop such as, for example, resize an image to a width of 830 or add a grain filter, or any other action. This design program has an action recorder that allows us to assign a series of actions to a key to automate tasks.
Photoshop actions let you record a repetitive process and save the information as an action that you can use at any time. And not only does it stay here, but you can edit actions to customize them to your own needs at any time.
Opening the action panel
- We are going to open the actions panel with ALT + F9
- You will see a series of them that allow you to access quick actions such as saving the file as a PDF or create a vignette from an image
- Let's create a new set in the icon in the lower left corner «New action»Or« New action »
- We choose name to search for it immediately when we want to customize it
- We select the key with which we want to start this action. For example: F6
- At the time that click on «Record», we will start recording the actions we are going to carry out
- We press "Record" and carry out the action or actions that we want to record. In this example we will use the resize an image to 830 pixels
- We press Control + I, we select 830 pixels wide and we click "OK"
- Now we look for the blank square icon (next to red) to stop recording actions
- We will have saved action
Now every time you press F6 when you have an image open, will pass it directly to 830 in a jiffy without having to do anything else. You will be able to save actions such as magic wand, lasso, polygonal selection, move and many others that will save you a lot of time if you automate them. It can be several actions in a row, so you can crop an image and apply a filter right after with the ease of pressing just one key.
