Anna has the ability to bring together various forms of traditional media, such as ink and watercolor, and introduce digital elements that take her work to the next level. His style is influenced by his training in the classic Ukrainian »Petrykivka painting», an Eastern European style focusing on floral and plant motifs.
Before working on a large-scale project, I use my sketchbook as a 'warm-up' painting shapes and color combinations that are inspired by nature, but can never happen at the same time in the same place. These visual investigations help to get my creative juices flowing and develop my ideas.
In this sketchbook, I worked mainly with flowers and sea creatures, developing the knowledge of natural shapes and textures, so that later I can translate them into large watercolor chunks. I painted flora and fauna from a range of angles and in a range of different mediums, including watercolors, ink markers, and colored pencils.
