We are going to start telling you a few things about the curved monitor. The first thing you should know about this is that it is characterized by the fact that the screen is curved, something similar to what happens with the human eye, in such a way that they try to adapt to give a better vision, more immersive, making all parts of the eye, and not only the central one, work.
Obviously, this has certain advantages, such as the fact that there is less eye strain because by making the whole eye receive the information, it does not get as tired (especially if you spend many hours in front of the screen. In addition, the perception of images is somewhat more natural.
But of course, it is not as easy as it seems.
And it is that they have a major problem: they can make you dizzy. When the screen is far enough away from you this does not happen. But we are talking about a computer, and the monitor is almost always less than 1 meter from our face, so having it so close, in addition to reducing the field of vision, makes the eye not adapt well and in the end you get tired more when working on these.
Another problem you may encounter is the dreaded "inner reflection." By having a concave shape, it is easier for this reflection to occur, making it often possible for you to see double (or triple) and that will create a greater problem to work properly.
Finally, we must talk about the price, because yes, it is higher than flat monitors. But it is that, for a curved monitor to really be good, one that has a curve from 1800 to 2300R is not worth us, which, first, are enormous, with which the distance from which you should see them goes from 1.8 to 2-3 meters away (from the monitor to where you are sitting). That is almost unthinkable for a computer. But for them to be really immersive and adequate, they had to exceed 3000R and there the separation is even greater (and the price skyrockets too much).

The flat monitor is characterized by having a square or rectangular shape in a straight line, that is, without any angle that "folds" the screen. This can have different sizes as well as resolutions.
In the past, the usual thing is that they were square, but for a few years rectangular screens have been proliferating and with resolutions beyond 16:9, now going to 21:9, which means that there is a longer plant screen (with more inches ) and flattened. But just as good to work with, it just leaves more room to work with multiple programs in view at once.
If we focus on the advantages that flat monitors have, one of them is undoubtedly the low response time. These are higher than the time of a curved one (which can take 4ms to react). Yes, it may seem little. But if we take into account that the response time of the planes usually oscillates in 1ms, there is a big difference.
Another advantage concerns its location. It is said that curved monitors take up less space, but in reality this is not the case, because being curved, they are very complicated to place and they will not always look good. Quite the opposite of the plans that can be attached to a wall, or even hung, and you will not have any problem with them.
A point to take into account for a creative is in terms of the perception of texts, colors, images, etc. You should know that editing on a flat one is much easier and more realistic than on a curved one (where you may have perception problems). That is why it is recommended to have a flat one more than a curved one.
Now, as with curved ones, flat monitors also have their drawbacks. One of the first is eye fatigue. It is known from several studies that human eyes can be much more fatiguing because they are forced into a flat field of view (and not one that follows the curvature of the eye).
In addition, the experience is less immersive, because we only work with a part of the eye, leaving the periphery for the rest of the elements in the room (this means that we can be more easily distracted).

Keep in mind that this immersive effect is actually not that much. Many thought it would be like virtual reality, a way for you to be surrounded by the screen and be able to work. But this effect is not achieved. Even so, it is still in development and the truth is that this technology is better right now than the curve.
