Deconstructivism or controlled chaos on a large scale in this skyscraper in Thailand

Mahanakhon

We don't usually talk or comment a lot about architecture, although it is closely linked to art and what it means to be creative. There are architects who have been able to come up with other ways out of the most straight and perpendicular, to go more to the curved. You just have to go around Barcelona to realize it.

Apart from the curved and the rectilinear, there is also a movement called deconstructivism which was born in the late 1980s. It is characterized by fragmentation, the non-linear design process, an interest in manipulating the ideas of the surface of structures and non-Euclidean geometry (non-rectilinear shapes). This skyscraper is the maximum example that can be taken to explain this architectural movement.

This skyscraper in Thailand is not at all called deconstructivism, but it is useful to understand better that architectural movement. The concept "De-con" was a reaction or subversion of modernism and an opposition to the rise of post-modernism.

Mahanakhon

We are in front of the MahaNakhon tower in Bangkok, Thailand. Have 313 meters high and 77 floors. Buildings that often fall into the category of deconstructivism express a final finished look that is characterized by controlled and unpredictable chaos.

Mahanakhon

If one used imagination and imagined everything a district of a city with buildings like the MahaNakhon, surely it could be closer to a huge space related to the apocalyptic than a more normal city that we have become accustomed to since skyscrapers conquered urban centers. The only problem they may have is the extra expense to clean windows, although the rents for some of those offices and apartments must be stratospheric.

A building that is change the landscape of a city like Bangkok. To finish off the architecture, a fusion with goldsmithing.
