Due to a bug, Adobe deletes 100.000 files for a designer

And this designer has sued Adobe for deleting 100.000 files due to a failure. Dave Cooper has claimed compensation for a judgment in Adobe Premiere, the video editing program that ranks among the best for the job.

100.000 files between videos and photos that has managed to bring to court the design software company that has changed the paradigm of creativity around the world. Just imagine the situation where a Premiere bug delete that many files from your PC ...

And from the looks of it Cooper is not the only one affected for this serious failure, since there have been many others, and that could join the cause. Adobe has already recognized and fixed the problem with an update. We would be talking about version 11.1.1 of Adobe Creative Cloud 2017.

The problem lies in the Adobe Premiere tool in charge of clear cache in order to get rid of those temporary files that the program itself creates in all the projects we launch. It would be in version 11.1.1 in which the cache would erase much more than just those temporary files.

It is in the demand where it is collected by Cooper that in total there would have been deleted more than 100.000 videos and photos with an estimated value of $ 250.000. And that's without counting the possible benefits that those videos and photos could give rise to in the form of a license.

For now, it is unknown what Adobe will do about it, since it would imply the possible return of the damages both to this designer and to others that would add to the serious error of file deletion.
