The new exhibition of Tezi Gabunia wants you to become part of his exhibition for dare you break into a gallery of art by becoming the main protagonist of it. Through four different models of famous art galleries, their "Put Your Hear into Gallery" literally transforms you into part of the exhibition.
The project includes four miniature recreations from Saatchi Gallery, The Louvre, Tate Modern and Gagosian Gallery, each of which respectively features works by Gabunia, Peter Paul Rubens, Damien Hirst and Roy Lichtenstein.
The exhibition focuses on getting the art scene is accessible to everyone by bringing these iconic buildings around the world, in the opposite way to what usually happens. Through this work, Gabunia explores the idea of forgery and hyper-realism in the art world. Created by using laser cutting technology, PVC and Plexiglas, its dioramas allow anyone to be the main protagonist of these four mini galleries.
Gabunia is an artist known for his reflections on authenticity and the false in the contemporary world. By focusing on the virtualization of the artistic process, his work attempts to industrialize the production of art, turning the artist into a unique creator. With this exhibition he explores what differentiates the art shown from the visual realm.
