Surely more than once you have seen a photo on Instagram and you would have liked to download it. However, as you know, photos on Instagram cannot be downloaded. Or should we say that not everyone knows how to do it. Do you want to learn how to download Instagram photos?

Download Instagram photos bypassing the block
As you know, Instagram has a blocking system to prevent anyone from copying the photos from an account. But this one doesn't last long, because if you know this trick you won't have a problem with them. Of course, you have to do it from a browser.
To get started, you need to go to Instagram and locate the photo you want. Now, you must open it and click on it with the right mouse button so that, in the menu that appears, click on “Open link in a new tab”.
Yes, the most likely thing is that the image will appear but you still can't download it. And it is that in this case what interests us is not the image, but the url. The only thing you have to do is add, just after the url that comes out, the following “/media/?size=l”. In this way, you will be able to see the photo outside of what Instagram is, in addition to full size, allowing you to download it easily.
As? Well, right click on the mouse and click on “Save image as…”. And voila, you will have the photo and also with high quality.
Download photos using screenshots
This way works both for the computer and for your computer. It is about locating the photo you like on Instagram and taking a screenshot (on mobile, move three fingers from top to bottom).
Now this capture has two problems:
- On the one hand, the fact that you will lose quality in the image.
- On the other hand, you will not have the complete image (as in the first case) but only the piece that can be seen in the Instagram post. Yes, it will be what you liked, but if you had it whole it would be even better.
Once you have the capture, with an image editing program (in the case of the computer) or with the mobile editor, you can crop it so that only the image you liked appears and you can even use it yourself.
It is a fairly easy and fast method, but the truth is that it is not the most recommended due to the loss of quality it has. And since there are other methods, it is always better to trust others.
Through an app
We know that you are not always going to like having an app to be able to do things. But it can be a good option if, in addition to images, you also want to download other things from Instagram such as stories, reels, videos... That's why we recommend it.
The one we are talking about is Ingset (you can also find it as “Download from Instagram”). It is a free app that lives on the ads that you will have to put up with for using it. Its operation is quite simple. Once you have it and open it, you must log in to your Instagram account, search for what you want to download and click on the three vertical dots that appear on the right. Your goal is to copy the link.
With this copied, you must go to Ingset and click on the arrow icon to put the url. This will tell you when it's finished and you just have to hit the share icon to save it to the gallery.
Of course, in private accounts it has the odd mistake. Also, if Instagram detects that you have this tool, it could block your account. So, if you put it, try to make it on an account that you don't care much about and on a mobile that you use only for that account. This way you will protect the rest of the accounts you may have.

Another of the options you have to download Instagram photos is through the browser. In fact, it is the way in which you will not have to install anything and you will have the photos in a few seconds. You also don't have to change the url so it will be even easier.
In almost all of them, the only thing you will need is to have the url of the Instagram photo (or of the publication you want to download).
In this way, when you put it on the page it will take the image you want so you can save it on your computer.
However, you could also use it from your mobile, through the Instagram application, since you would only have to obtain the link to do it from the mobile browser.
