Ikea launches a social campaign for children to draw their own stuffed animals

Ikea stuffed animals designed by kids for kids as part of a social project to ensure that all children have the opportunity to play Well, everyone should have that basic right to let their imagination run wild and be children. What if children created their own stuffed animals? As children we have all created drawings of all kinds of unreal characters with bulging eyes and many other crazy things that turned our drawings into authentic works of art.

Ikea with this interesting social project allowed the children from all over the world can participate in a drawing contest and leave your creative bit for other children from anywhere in the world. It is interesting to see a project created by and for children, something that has seen the light thanks to this Swedish furniture company that has been possible.

At competition of the year 2015 were presented mini-artists from around the world getting a total of 52.000 drawings. Among all these incredible proposals submitted, the jury selected ten made by children from 4 to 9 years old. As we see in the image children's drawings are very creative and eye-catching.

Children from all over the world participated in the creation of their own stuffed animals

For each stuffed animal or children's book that IKEA sells during the months of November and December, la IKEA Foundation donate € 1 to Save the Children y UNICEF. This campaign has generated 88 million euros since 2003, and has helped provide a quality education to more than 12 million children in 46 countries. A beautiful cause that combines the creativity of the smallest artists with the design of a campaign that seeks to be more social than a simple business.

«The world is full of little artists. In the future we will not be short of artists or designers; some of the drawings are true works of art. The contest allows children to be creative and design the stuffed animal of their dreams, which encourages their imagination and develops their artistic ability ». Bodil Fritjofsson (product developer for IKEA and Children) ».

Always a social project It is emotional for everyone and even more so when it is carried out by children and for children, allowing them to participate and be part of this whole project so tempting for a child, because if we think about it What child wouldn't want to create their own toys? all of us would have done the same as these children, let our imagination run wild.
