Invader, the urban artist of pixelated mosaics whose identity is unknown

Málaga

Today was the day we learned that the Malaga Prosecutor's Office has sued against Invader, an urban artist whose identity is unknown and who has placed 29 mosaics around the Malaga capital in order to whet his appetite for his next exhibition scheduled for this year.

Invader, who is also known as Space Invader, is a French artist who has taken it upon himself to bring to the streets of different cities around the world his devotion to the pixel and to the video games from the 70s and 80s. "Pixelated" works that captivate any passer-by who has been through one of these videogames at some point, such as the legendary Martian killer.

It was in Malaga where Invader passed to leave 29 mosaics that has been scattering by different places. The problem is that some of these mosaics have been placed in various Assets of Cultural Interest and that they are protected against any modification made by anyone.

The curious thing about the complaint is that you want to know who is behind the name Invader; something that is presented as difficult, when we all know well another urban artist who has inspired hundreds how is he known as Banksy.

Invader has its own Instagram from where you can follow the work he is doing wherever he poses his "pixelated" ideas. As he describes his projects, something like "urban acupuncture", their invasions began in 1998 in Paris to take them to other French cities.

His works have appeared in more than 30 countries in the world and it is the same one who is in charge of recording all the pieces that he is making, even with their day and location. Each piece of art is scored between 10 and 100 depending on the success of it.
