The London Underground replaces gallery advertising with photos of kittens that can be adopted

Cats

Cats usually flood hundreds and hundreds of websites with those photos and animated GIFs so funny with those animals so feline that they jump from here to there and are able to make us smile in a moment. Between cats and dogs they hardly leave room for other animals that try to have their moment, meme or be as viral as possible.

It is these same animals that have taken the London Underground to replace typical advertising that we also find in a city like Madrid. Passengers on the London Underground will now see photos of cats that have to be adopted and that show how endearing they can be, especially if they are known to have no owner.

This idea came from Citizens Advertisting Takeover Services (commonly known as CATS) that used Kickstarter, the crowdfunding page, to bring this catlike vision to the reality of having hundreds of cats scattered around the galleries of the London subway. Eventually, they raised £ 30.000 for the project to use to replace the dozens of advertisements with sweet and cute kittens.

The thinking mind behind CATS is a creative collective called Glimpse who describe themselves as a group of friends who want to use creativity for something good. His three reasons for advertising were simple. Among them is the mission that some of those cats find a homeSo they partnered with Cats Protection and Battersea, charities to help thousands of felines, to register all the kittens available for adoption from those organizations.

For two weeks the cats will be conquering the London UndergroundSo, if you find yourself visiting this great city, do not delay in visiting it, since you will see yourself surrounded or surrounded by cute kittens.
