Luke Jerram is a Multidisciplinary artist that is involved in the creation of sculptures, all kinds of installations and performances. The great goal of this artist is to create artistic projects that excite and inspire people around the world.
"Glass Microbiology" is one of his most interesting and striking projects in which sculpts viruses and pathogens more known to all. The idea of these sculptures is to bring to the viewer alternative representations of viruses in which they have no color and are smaller than the wavelength of light.
An artistic project that does not leave anyone indifferent for representing in each one of the sculptures some of the most deadly pathogens and that the photographs taken of some of them are now used extensively by scientific magazines or textbooks.
A high-rise artwork that comes with a wise intention to show those small elements that are responsible for carrying diseases all over the planet. Sublime crystal representations that can cause all kinds of sensations and that in their great form we find the virulence that each one of them can have in its natural form.
Each of those sculptures looks like an animal that the pain they cause in humans is beyond their "knowledge." A mirror of our own as if we were ourselves like a kind of virus for the earth if we were looking for some kind of meaning to the work that Jerram transmits to us.
