Pantone names two colors as the color of the year 2016

Pantone 2016

The Pantone Color of the Year 2016 has been revealed, and for the first time they are two colors instead of just one. For 2016, we can welcome you now to Rose Quarts and Serenity.

The first is a tonality found in the light pink while the other is a pastel blue tending to purple. Pantone has been found as one of the authorities to set the trends of the year in colors since 2000.

In 2000, it was the cerulean blue color that was first named by Pantone. Since then, the color of the year has had a great effect in marketing from a company with 53 years of history that thanks to collaborations with companies such as Sephora and KitchenAid, as well as murals made by renowned artists, has been able to give greater identity to that color tone that has been found as the one of the year.

These two chosen colors, the Rose Quarts (Pantone 13-1520) and Serenity (Pantone 15-3919), have been due to current events in discussions that have to do with gender. It has to do with trends in color in the areas of design and social movements that are associated with equality between genders. Some shades that give great meaning to life such as pink, while blue that leads us to tranquility in Serenity.

Two colors that will set the trend for next year and that we will see in the form of new fashion designs, interface for applications or what could be advertisements that seek to appease viewers. Some pastry fools for a new year that will return with greater strength and energy and in which the changes will have to be important, something to which these days we are doomed, such as the Climate Summit in Paris.

The shades of this fall winter these are.
