Pantone is known for its special color palette and for designating the most important colors of the year as well as that color that will be the axis for certain designs in all professional fields.
Pantone just announced its Color of the Year for 2017 and this is the PANTONE 15-0343 Greenery. This spicy yellowish green is the perfect palette for 2016, which was coincidentally represented by a combination of hues that could perfectly sum up this year.
Under the direction of Leatrice Eiseman, CEO of the Pantone Color Institute, a team of ten gathered global influences to showcase the spirit in color of that year. This meant that trends in the entertainment and film industry, as well as fine arts, fashion, and lifestyles were studied.
While «Rose Quartz», the PANTONE color of the year 2016, expressed the need for harmony in a chaotic world, Greenery focuses on 2017 to provide us with hope for a more complex political and social landscape.
Also satisfies the growing desire for rejuvenation, revitalization and unity, this color referred to as «Greenery» that symbolizes the reconnection that we seek with nature, one of the greatest purposes to achieve in the next year 2017.
So 2017 becomes the year of the color green in all its extension and meaning to try to embrace everything that happens on this planet in which we tend to distance ourselves from seeking a habitat and an environment in which we can continue to coexist with nature.

Now the central axis for 2017 will be the green color, although any of the ten mentioned in that post can be used to be on par with what is concerned with design in all its areas.
