The Portuguese Photographer Andre Vicente Goncalvez has dedicated his photographic career to traveling the world capturing images of everyday objects. The artist takes as inspiration a series of elements that had never been aesthetically appreciated, such as windows and floors. In this way he has developed several collections through collages.
It can be seen that he uses strategically those photographs with colors and shapes characteristic of each city. This helps to create a discourse that defines the character of each of these cities, which is visualized through these formal elements. The artist's work is loaded with color and diverse shapes that are represented with great objectivity by using the frontal approach to capture the space in a direct way.

The computer scientist made a leap in his photography career when made his collection of window photographs. The pragmatism and delicacy with which he portrays them; they make their work very aesthetically appealing. After developing this incredible collection of windows the obvious choice was to stick with doors. In this way he developed a series of photographs of doors in four cities and assembled them in collage as in the previous collection.
Doors are generally something they overlook at all times. Consequently Andre shows us that it is really worth stopping a minute and admiring its beauty. In this sense, architecture having an artistic character can be interpreted as a transmitter of culture. Thus It is very interesting to see how the elements of the façades perfectly express the identity of each country.
