Adobe is back with news for Photoshop on the iPad, just two of them, and what is super resolution for Camera Raw and Lightroom. For the last one, we will have to wait a bit, since at the moment it is only available for Camera Raw.
Although Adobe has announced that it will not be a matter of long time that we can use that super resolution to convert a 10MP image to a 40MP one with one click and with quality results.
After knowing the Adobe news for video in March, Photoshop on the iPad includes a first feature to take into account: Version history in the documents in the cloud and that allows us to go back to the most Ctrl + Z mode, and so I can browse up to 60 days of history. A striking and well-productive function that many will know how to take full advantage of.
In fact the versions can be marked so that they do not expire, are renamed and saved permanently. The second novelty of Photoshop on the iPad is also related to the cloud and it refers to the possibility of locally saving the files that we have in the cloud; As with Dropbox, for example, it allows us to have a folder to open from there.
What this really allows is that we can access those files when we have no connection or we are disconnected. In fact Adobe has included that you do not want or store it locally from settings on the iPad.
Perhaps the loudest is the Super Resolution skill in Adobe Camera Raw plugin in Photoshop, which does exactly what was said above. Super Resolution uses a advanced machine learning model trained on millions of photos. In other words, it intelligently enlarges photos while keeping important details and keeping edges clean.
Adobe has made it clear that this Super Resolution will also come to Adobe Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
