When Apple puts the spotlight on a small business logo that is a pear

Prepare

It sounds like a laugh, but this is what many have had to think when they have learned that Apple has initiated legal proceedings against a small company. Ridiculous because the logo of this little girl is a simple pear, even ill-considered.

Perhaps it is Apple's intention to not let any company use a fruit as their logo. That is, he wants to get hold of all that bowl of fruit according to the intentions given. As you can see in the header image, the logo of this company is that it does not come close to anything or has to do with not being merely a fruit.

This small company has a food preparation app that expresses it with its logo to be identified with a pear with a green line. Apple indicates that the logo is too similar to its iconic logo.

Dear Instagram Friends- I NEED YOUR HELP! I know there are a lot of heavy things going on in the world right now, and this is nothing in comparison, but I need your help in a situation that is affecting me, my family, and my coworkers. Please help! Many of you know that I started a business called Prepear almost 5 years ago. It is an app that you can store all your recipes in one place, plan your meals, make grocery lists, and get your groceries delivered all in one place. Recently @apple yes, The trillion dollar Apple, has decided to oppose and go after our small business' trademark saying our pear logo is too close to their apple logo and supposedly hurts their brand? This is a big blow to us at Prepear. To fight this it will cost tens of thousands of dollars. The CRAZY thing is that Apple has done this to dozens of other other small business fruit logo companies, and many have chosen to abandon their logo, or close doors. While the rest of the world is going out of their way to help small businesses during this pandemic, Apple has chosen to go after our small business. I'm not trying to get anyone to stop using or buying Apple products. I feel a moral obligation to take a stand against Apple's aggressive legal action against small businesses and fight for the right to keep our logo. We are defending ourselves against Apple not only to keep our logo, but to send a message to big tech companies that bullying small businesses has consequences. It is based on the fact that this logo can create a dilution of the distinctive character of brand image that Apple has. But come on, we would have to go far enough to find some similarities, because even the thick line of the logo of this app has nothing to do with those of the American brand.

The curious, and vile, of the matter is that as the owner of this company claims, This is not the first time that Apple has faced dozens of apps with referred logos to fruits. In other words, what this company does is that as you come up with a logo of a fruit, it's going to get you, and if you don't throw away tens of thousands of dollars, you're going to have to give it up.

In fact, this company has already collected more than 30.000 signatures to pit Apple against this way of using his power against small businesses. Looking back at the two logos, there is no one who understands how this can happen. All the luck in the world for the lady owner.
