One of the most important elements within our professional photographic team is the light source that we use and all those instruments that can strengthen and complement the influence of our light sources. In the second part of our series of articles on professional photographic equipment we are going to make an incision in some of the recommended tools to achieve the best results.

Lighting: Essential in any photographic work
We can opt for two types of artificial lighting sources. On the one hand we find we have the flahs and on the other hand with the spotlights (or continuous light). Each of these alternatives has different qualities and reasons for using them. Although the flash is designed to illuminate large areas of objects and that have a fairly heterogeneous structure (it usually has much higher power), continuous light is used to capture small or very uniform elements.
Photometer: Light is an essential element that we must always take into account when doing photo shoots. In the case of working with flash, it is highly recommended that we use a photometer. Keep in mind that with this tool it will be much easier for you to measure the intensity of light. In case you work with a continuous light source (bulbs that remain on permanently) you will be able to work perfectly with the photometer that your own camera has integrated, although here the viewfinder or screen of our camera and of course the histogram of the images as it will give us very relevant information on parameters as important as exposure.
Still life table: It is recommended that you get one if you are going to dedicate yourself entirely and professionally to the world of photography. You have two ways to get a mini photographic studio to bring your still lifes to life, one is by buying it and the other is by creating it. Contrary to what it may seem, and especially if we are entering the world of photography, it is more advisable that we build our still life table. If you surf the net you will find several methods to create one.
