Project Felix, the adobe tool for working in 3d

Adobe recently announced a partnership with the leader in computer graphics chaos group, known in the world of 3d for its powerful V-ray rendering engine. The fruit of this association has been Project felix, program that is in beta phase and that will allow us to work with 3D objects, resulting in a quite successful rendering.

This 3d application simplifies the compositing process between 2d and 3d, making its use more accessible to all types of designers. With it, designers can easily create 3D objects, materials and lighting. The renders obtained with Project Felix can then be post-processed in Photoshop in order to improve the resulting image.

Through the movement of the virtual camera through the 3d environment of Project Felix, users will be able to test angles, perspectives and the positioning of the 3d model and can view the result in real time in a small window in the lower right margin (as shown in the following image) before rendering the high resolution render.

"We are delighted that Adobe has chosen V-Ray as the primary rendering engine for Project Felix and that it is part of a new era for 3D in graphic design," said Peter Mitev, CEO of Chaos Group. "Together we're bringing the benefits of photorealistic rendering and a new design workflow to millions of creatives around the world. «

"Working with the amazing team at Chaos Group meant we were able to bring the power of the industry rendering engine to our users," said Stefano Corazza, senior director of engineering at Adobe. “Thanks to their stellar team, our collaboration enables graphic designers to design in a more natural flow. Every change comes to life before your eyes. «
