Showing our obsession with mobiles in a sculpture

Absorbed by light

There is nothing to say about this topic. We only have to take a look around us when we go down the street in any city to show the degree of obsession we have with those devilish smartphones.

And this is the idea behind it sculpture created by a British artist who does not want to let go of that obsession for a device that we could almost call from hell or from the devil. There are so many hours spent in front of that screen that Gali May Lucas has taken his time to make it very clear in this sculpture.

A sculpture that shows to various obsessed people totally with the screen of their mobiles. Individuals recreated in white and that, thanks to the light emitted by the sculpture of the mobile, gives more consonance to the objective sought by May Lucas.

Luz

It was with the sculptor Karoline Hinz with which he has created a series of people in which their faces are illuminated with the brightness and light coming from the screen of their mobile phones.

Obsession

The artistic installation has been called "Absorbed by the light". The goal of the artist has been that anyone could be represented by that sculpture. And it is that this image and poses can be found in any corner, street, corner or space of any of the cities and towns of this country and many others.

Let's say now nobody is able to share those moments in the elevator with another person while you have your new mobile in your hand where you can view your social networks, answer the same repeated message from your partner or see the daily news repeated each day.

We already had Sergio Ingravalle showing his own perspective of esa digital life in which we are imbued every day.
