Although we are facing the rise of Adobe XD, Sketch is still a very special application for the app and website design, and all those components that make them up. That is why the team behind its development continues to work hard to bring updates.
Version 4.1 was released a few days ago and among its novelties, such as new features, is what would be a revamped interface and design again from its icon. This update is free for those who own the application, which currently costs € 94,45.
The most obvious change is the app logo. You can already say goodbye to that diamond with numerous gradients conforming what would be the volume of that precious stone of high value used as the most iconic element when remembering this application. Now the logo goes to those flat colors, which are the watchword for the vast majority of icons and logos of many other services and apps.
Gradients have also been removed from the app icons, and lend themselves to having the more flat design language to go hand in hand with the redesign of the logo. Bohemian Coding, one of Sketch's developers, says that this more flat-out look will be carried over to other parts of the app and Sketch's identity in the coming months.
Until this update, in every instance of a symbol in a document, you could override text and images as they were being modified. With Sketch 4.1, you can also correct any of the symbols, as long as they are the same size, which allows you to replace an "off" version of a button with the improved version.
The other improvements are the ability to protect files through Sketch Cloud, a new option in the menu "Paste in Style" For when you want to paste rich text into the app, the shapes, options for vertical and horizontal alignment and a good variety of bugs have been improved.
