Lately I have found myself working on a project that seeks redesign an app and the goal was bring design to the present And it is that starting I did not see any problem and I went to my computer to start drawing.

But little by little and over time, weaknesses and problems of use They appeared and took me by surprise because I did not expect any of that, I just found myself applying the same shape only placing a new look.

And that was how I learned the biggest lesson in my career as a designer, this was a project that had as aim to improve appearanceBut he was destined for failure.

Jesse james garret is a renowned architect who achieved fame in the great world of design when you started a diagram of user experience elements, this being a diagram that defines all design stages you have and need a digital product, but you do it in an orderly way and focusing more on the experience and comfort of user.

The first step is the strategy, this is the moment where we begin to define what are the objectives of the company and what are the objectives that the user has, that is, it seeks to answer the question of What are the problems that we are trying to fix and what do others expect from our new product?

The second step is the range, this is the moment where you should know the characteristics that are going to be developed, here a strategy is developed based on what the user wants and needs and what the product can offer them. Then comes the structure, this is an organizational stage where they begin to imagine the characteristics and details that the product will have when it is ready, this is the moment where they go to assign all the pages to an address or how the users' journey through the application screens.

It is followed by skeleton which is the realization of sketches on the product, this is the way that will be used to show the user all the elements  offered by this product. Then it goes to the surface, this is the moment where the product interface is already defined, you begin to think about colors, spaces, fonts, elements and styles to achieve harmony.

This is the stage where we can realize if our project has been well prepared and if everything marks towards the objective of improving the user experience.

It's a little difficult to understand the final step, but the objective is to highlight how the work in the interface is the last of the project, this I highlight because many people make mistakes in this part, because they pass it or simply apply it incorrectly. If you find yourself working in a company it is essential to inform others of decisions to do one product managementFor example, it is likely that a person does not understand these steps and that the designer does not realize the importance of this.

After the process we can notice that it is more abstract, this means that when we raise the user's needs, they will change with time and the goals that our product has that have to change with the needs and with the business planning, they will take us to the basic steps where we will begin to make the product.

The concept is very broad, but this it's just a short explanation that allows us to locate ourselves a bit, this being an article that can be used to motivate ourselves to start a conversation with the team and understand a little about the importance of each of the stages that are before achieving the appearance that a product is going to have.
