If we had to choose which are the most significant shots that the cinema has given in its short life, we would have it somewhat difficult. It has been more than a century since the Lumière brothers gave birth to the cinematographer and since then we have witnessed true genius throughout the years. Since the arrival of cinema It has been immersed in a process of constant, intense, evolutionary as well as natural change. It spread throughout our globe through hundreds of thousands of movies on theaters. But the truth is that despite the overwhelming variety that serves us on a platter, only certain works have managed to earn the master title. Actually a very low percentage of the total has managed to transgress the limit and move away from the mass of footage, gaining the most absolute immortality and the rank of historical emblem. Somehow these specimens become part of our life and remain alive in our memory in an irremediable and permanent way.
If I asked you what are the 100 most emblematic shots in the history of cinemaWhat would you say to me? It's a tough question, right? From the Cinefix page they have taken on the challenge of answering it with a video of less than five minutes in length. The truth is that there are some that can be very obvious, such as the mythical of the arrival of the train at the Ciotat station by the Lumière brothers, but as we evolve over time, it becomes more complex to differentiate and create that limit that separates the good from the really genuine.
In the following video you will find a compilation of the most interesting that is made up of a rich selection of films ranging from a shot of Charlie Chaplin in 'The Great Dictator' to Orson Wells proclaiming his speech in 'Citizen Kane', by Cary Grant running behind the plane in 'With death on Harrison Ford's heels running after the giant ball from' Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark ', from Audrey Hepburn in' Breakfast at Diamonds' to Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman', passing by Jack Nicholson in 'The Shining', Marilyn Monroe in 'The temptation lives above', Charlon Heston in 'Planet of the Apes' or John Wayne in the final scene of 'Centaurs of the desert'. Surely if you are a cinephile it will be extremely easy for you to recognize these pieces. If you are not, it may also be very inspiring to do some research and view each of these works. If you need help below this video I leave you the list of movies that appear in this compilation. (I recommend that you watch the video first and try to identify them by yourself).
Enjoy it!
