The beautiful illustrations of the 2017 Oscars nominations by Olly

Oscars

Is fourth consecutive year in which illustrator Olly Gibs has turned the best picture nominations at the Oscars into a series of beautiful illustrations. As before, each Oscar represents each of the film nominations in a laborious and highly successful job of design.

This designer uses a special way of illustrate the Oscars statuettes so that each of them is erected representing one of the protagonists of each of the nominations for the films of the year. Flat colors and a rigid look is what draws attention to each of them.

The illustrator himself has revealed them in his official Twitter account and the illustrations have become one of the claims for that night so special in which movie stars come together every year.

La La Land

Nominations for Academy Awards were announced on January 24, which means Olly had to work hard to get his illustrations ready before the night of February 26.

The full list of illustrations includes a varied range of moviesincluding: La La Land, To The Last Man, Moonlight, Leon, Arrival, Manchester By The Sea, Fences, Hidden Figures and Hell or High Water.

Curious way to represent all those actors in which you can find all the protagonists of the mentioned films. A carefree way to be getting closer to that special night for the cinema and in which those actors, directors and all those participants in the production of a film, fight to have the statuette well held in their hand. A special night without any doubt.
