The nifty cover of Time depicting America's obesity problem

Time

All those supermarkets, stores and other surfaces that sell food, a large percentage of the products that are in their showcases, have a large amount of sugar and fats that become very palatable by the general public and that, if we add the enormous variety of advertising spots on television and other spaces, it is quite difficult to contain do not fall into temptation to have a chocolate bar or an industrial palm tree.

Time magazine wanted represent the problem of obesity on its cover in a very ingenious way and that we could not miss. A cover that shows the results of exacerbated consumerism and how the result of consuming almost uncontrollably all those buns, hamburgers, meats and other varied foods that we can find in any shopping center is becoming an epidemic.

El graphic illustrator commissioned on the cover has used the map of the United States to place it in a suitable way and that represents the face of a person in profile consuming a hamburger of those so well known of two very popular brands that I will not go on to remember, but that all are well we know.

TEAM

The Flat colors They serve perfectly to transform the US states into that person about to eat a hamburger, which is another part of the United States this time colored with the typical bright colors such as green, red and yellow.

As simple as merge and fit an entire map with some colors and we have all a great work in the illustration that puts on the cover one of the biggest problems that we are facing today in this consumerist society and system. It is curious that the problem is created and then solutions are sought before preventing; the benefit of it also arises.
