El NU watch: RO was born from the thinking heads of Anton & Irene eight years ago. Your prototype won the Red Dot Award for Best Concept, and is finally available for purchase.
Of course, at the moment only in one limited edition of 500 units. We are facing a clock that is characterized and distinguished by having two discs, one in the upper part for the hours and the lower one for the minutes. In the middle it has the icon of an hourglass.
And it is in that hourglass where we can see the exact time with their minutes to watch throughout the day how the two discs rotate in a synchronized way.
Is this the great idea conceived by Antón & Irene and that we finally have it on the market. One of the most incredible products that we have seen in a while and that will make you rethink wearing a watch on the wrist of your hand again.
Antón & Irene is a Brooklyn-based design studio specialized in digital experiences. They have had Spotify, Netflix and Balenciaga as clients, so we can understand the wonderful idea that they have come up with to surprise us with that design.
Such an item is a watch that has gone from being a daily object to totally unnoticed by the general public. Smartwatches have been the ones that have led many to have one on their wrists again, although it remains to be seen whether the "smart" will be able to restore it to great fame.
