Chinese sculptor Li Hongbo makes sculpture but very unique creations. He was born into a normal family, and in his young years Li found himself totally attached to paper. He discovered the flexible nature of this material due to Chinese paper lanterns and toys.
At first, when one is enjoying the view admiring some of his creations, one may think that we are facing a stone sculpture, but at the moment it is known that his work is based on paper, everything changes before this magnificent sculptor of flexibility and the techniques he uses to create his artistic works.
Li uses plates to glue those thin strips to recreate huge pieces of paper that she groups together to form blocks of 500. Stack the blocks to the desired height and some of his busts reach 5000 sheets, then begin to shape the huge piece in front of him as if it were a stone itself.
