The double exposure photographs of this Japanese taxi driver

enomoto

Issui Enomoto is a Japanese photographer living in Yokohama, Japan, a port city south of Tokyo. At night he works as a taxi driver to look for a form of monthly income of money, as it happens with thousands of artists around the planet who are looking for a way to sustain themselves in the face of a rather difficult world such as the creative one.

Your taxi serves as your own studio from which Capture moments from those Tokyo streets while looking for passengers. His double exposure in his photographs turns them into a kind of dream in which the city, the lights and the asphalt are the surroundings for those pedestrians who sometimes cross like shadows.

Enomoto describes his taxi as a kind of "little submarine" in a "great sea" of the port city. He continues with his artistic work in search of those photographs that show the night and those corners where everything seems to happen.

His double exposure photographs relate that infinite movement of the people that swarm, anonymously, the streets of that great city. They convey to the viewer that atmosphere and almost pollution that arises today in one of such size.

Many of the protagonists of his photos appear fighting against the force of the rain or the wind, or even still before that red traffic light that dominates them at times when traffic is vital for the good conduct of all citizens.

La melancholy of separating those individuals and the sadness that sometimes appears from each of these photographs makes us pass through the vision of this photographer who at night walks with his camera looking for the humanity that passes before the light that the headlights of his car project.
