The portrait made with accordion pieces by Jolita Vaitkut

Jolita Vaitkut?

I made a portrait to the accordionist Martin Levickis with real accordions and their parts. The accordion has a twenty thousand pieces inside, so he decided to create the portrait with those parts. For this we take two old accordions and it was a nice way to breathe new life into old instruments as an art project. It took me about four hours to do it.

When I posted my work on Facebook, I asked my friends that I wanted to get piano pieces for my new projects, and some of my friends gave it to me. Jolita Vaitkut is a designer and artist, which generates and implements extraordinary ideas. She is mainly known for creating art using food or other materials, with different sizes of pencils, sheets of paper and others.

Have you ever considered being a well-known artist in the media and being able to have a huge impact?.

I am a 20-year-old woman, an artist from Lithuania. I made jobs using chocolate, various spices, tomato sauce, cheese, other products and materials.

I did a portrait with the accordionist Martynas Levickis with real accordions and parts of it. The accordion has about twenty thousand pieces inside, so he decided to create the portrait with these pieces. We take a part from two old accordions as carefully as possible. I never believed that my works were going to influence so much. As detailed by Jolita Vaitkut.
