At the beginning of this month we had the great opportunity to meet the special fantastic creatures of the couple Kasia and Jacek Anyszkiewiczand an exceptional artwork to get fully into the mind of Kasia, who is the one who created each of those adorable creatures.
Almost on par with what are small creatures, although here towards the human in these porcelain dolls created by Marina Bychkova, designer and jewelry artist living in Canada. Bychkova delights us with these very real porcelain figures that can be a bit terrifying due to their exceptional work and design.
Marina takes us to her dolls and comments on how his passion for creating them started at 6 years old when she couldn't stand up to boring, mediocre, mass-produced dolls. So Marina started creating her own toys that fit her own ideals of beauty.
As she grew, she entered the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, and influenced by her, started his career in the design of dolls. She named her own brand inspired by a Paul Gallico short story called "Enchanted Doll." Fiction is reflected in most of his works, as he usually recreates some well-known fairy tale characters such as Little Red Riding Hood or Cinderella.
The dolls are meticulously crafted from high-quality materials such as porcelain, silver, gold and even Swarovski crystals. This allows to create some unique and sophisticated dolls, which causes sensuality and delicacy in each of them. This results in that whoever looks at them is delighted with their mere presence, since they have an exquisite work and touch.
