The self-taught sculptor Romain langloisHe studied medical books and anatomical maps to understand the human body, and he used this knowledge in the construction of his first sculptures, using only plaster and clay. After looking for a more permanent material, Romain Langlois returned to bronze, a metal that he now incorporates in his works where he gets the inspiration in nature, rather than in man as of old.
His pieces are visually stretched with natural objects surrounding the works artistic that he does, and they appear to us as crushed rocks, boulders, and tree trunks. These gleaming bronze sculptures stand out from within, releasing internal energy perceived from each object.
With his art he intends to dissect the natural elements with which he works, and with bronze represents inner energy by the chosen materials. The result is something that seems more suited to a martian landscape, Or to terrifying environment of some video game. Here is a photo gallery where you show this kind of weird and curious art. After the photo gallery we leave you his website in case you want to follow his work. I hope you like it.
Langlois lives in 'La Côte Martin', France. And you can see more of his sculptures in his web page.
