This redesign of The Lion King characters shows the problem with CGI

El Rey León

The truth is that the community of designers and followers of any type of multimedia content that reaches the masses can sometimes be a double-ended weapon. We say it because the redesign of the characters in The Lion King has highlighted the lack of "grace" for being as real as possible when bringing a character to the big screen.

The redesign by some artists of the most emblematic characters of The Lion King has cast doubt on yeah it's really worth being so royals. And the truth is that they put a blanket of doubts about where animation cinema is going.

The real thing seems not so convincing and Although we have The Lion King as a technical wonder, the truth is that it loses some of that essence. As some have said, it seems more like a documentary of those that you can fall asleep at some point of how real it is.

El Rey León

A new version that reimagines Simba has put those doubts on the table to leave us speechless by how good they look in a video. That is, we are not talking about images, but from a video in which Jonty Pressinger he has used Nikolay Mochkin's digital work to bring it to life.

Now we can doubt more than that the more real it can become the worse. The truth is that in the networks there are opposing opinions. While some say that If you want more cartoon roll, go to a movie of that style, while others have liked that touch more than what Disney has been all their lives.

El Rey León

We will see how that video falls in the upper echelons of Disney productions and if any production will prove for something not so real; as happens with animated films in which real people appear, but caricatured. Neither we forget what happened to Sonic.
