Tools to start designing

creative_ideas

Surely you've ever gotten into trouble venturing out to design something. At first it seems easier, but when you put it on and inspiration does not come, problems come. Well then, don't give up. For your inspiration and your work to be beneficial I bring you some tools to get started that you should always have in your bookmarks bar.

Dafont and Flaticon

We go little by little. Every time you start creating, you cannot miss two basic things in your library: Icons and fonts. In an infinite way, so that you have no need in your creation process.

These can be: Dafont for all your fonts. All are free to download, although they are authored and you can make a donation. I also want you to know that not everything is free and that many of them are for personal, non-commercial use. All this is specified below the button 'Download'.

For your icons you can use: Flaticon. On this website there is an article on this page that explains very well how it works (Here I leave it: Flaticon database.)

From here it does not mean that you are alone, or that you do not have more help. The Internet is very large and gives you the possibility of having thousands of resources at your fingertips.

Let's talk about Behance

Many of you will know the platform par excellence of many designers such as Behance. But finding something specific that you are looking for yourself is very complicated. Although it can serve as inspiration to create your own content. With this mini-tutorial you can find many more resources. Once saved in your bookmarks of your web service, let's proceed to the next phase:

Your resources are in Designer

In my folder is not missing: Designer. This website contains a huge amount of resources of icons, flower modes, cars, etc. Of all kinds in Vector format (illustrator) and in PSD (Photoshop) among others, to use as resources in your designs.

East 'mundillo'is very complex and full of variety. There are people who are more dedicated to illustrations and others choose more to print. Something more tangible and, of course, easier to get closer to a real profit that one craves for their work. For the latter, here I bring a very interesting page: downgraf. In which it includes resources of all kinds. And many of them for free.

I have to say that not all free resources are free to use, I recommend them to call your inspiration when creating your work

If you need ideas, here CallToIdea

Another website that I don't need is: CallToIdea. This website only contains sample images in JPG / PNG. A priori, it does not seem very useful. But if you realize it, you can visualize many ideas to create designs on 'pages not found ',' logins ',' profiles', etc.

Most of these tools are focused on the web. Therefore, as a designer, you will be asked to create a website with an exclusive design. Make it original, intuitive, useful ... Well, here all those little details like a simple login can help you when creating.

Finish the job in style

To finish the work you will have to create a last detail, for this are the 'mockups'. With this, once you finish the design, if you want to present it on a website, give a more professional image. For this you can create them yourself, although if it is difficult at first, here is a post in which there are many examples (although you can look for others): pixellegancy

Make the most of your time, sell ideas

And finally, once all the work is done with the result of a great design, Is there a website to earn money? This question is very common, and the answer is yes. Yes there are. There are many in other languages, but not so many in Spanish. Behance, as I said at the beginning, can be used to promote yourself so that people can see your work, but not to sell itself. You can also create your own blog and upload your products, but you will surely need more time to make it profitable. I propose you: GraphicLemonade.

This page is used to sell your products online and in Spanish. Its advantages? Of course the language, since you can also talk to the technical service to solve problems and best of all, the payment. In which you receive a 70% of the sale of your product. Something that I have not seen so far. They usually give between 30 and 50%. You choose. Of course, if you find any more, write it in the comments to help us mutually.

I hope all these little tools get you started!
