If they gave us a lot of bike chains and told us that we should create a sculpture out of them, surely that we would look with a crazy face at the one who proposes that idea, but if they passed through the hands of Nirit Levav, surely that in a few days we could be surprised by his originality and creativity when creating dog nails.
"Unchained" is a collection of life-size sculptures of dogs made with the recycled parts of various bicycles, rather their chains. What is remarkable about this series of sculptures is that they capture the emotionality of dogs in their different breeds and the varied poses with the occasional a bit eschatological.
Levav manages to capture the dogs in moments and expressions that make one believe at first that they are made with scrap metal. The truth that they are really striking each of the dog sculptures that he makes in this project called «Unchained».
Vitanovsky is another artist who went through these lines and showed us all his art in sculpture with that scrap bull, or Hun Lek and his passion for the Hulk and that huge sculpture that has in this recycled material the base to bring us the lines of that character from the comics.
Nirit Levav is a multidisciplinary designer and artist which has been closely related to art and recycling. In these years of a successful career she has established herself as a fashion designer who continues to explore and experiment with different materials, while continuing to practice her skills in creating jewelry, working with metal or even ceramics.
It is in these past years that Levav is working mainly with recycling materials such as bicycle chains, motorcycle pistons, keys or watches. You have Your Website from this link to follow his excellent work.
